The Ware County Gators hosted the Valdosta Wildcats on Tuesday night, December 16, 2025, in Waycross for an exciting evening of basketball action inside the Gator Den. Ware County came away with two strong performances, picking up wins in both the JV Boys and Varsity Boys contests.
The JV Boys opened the night with a hard-fought 49 - 38 victory, using strong defensive effort and disciplined play to secure the win over Valdosta.
In the Varsity Girls matchup, the Lady Gators competed with intensity but ultimately fell to the Wildcats by a score of 45 - 63. Ware County showed flashes on both ends of the floor and will look to regroup as the season continues.
The night concluded with the Varsity Boys delivering an impressive 62 - 47 win. The Gators controlled the pace of play and executed well down the stretch, earning a convincing home victory in front of the Ware County crowd.

Students middle school age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend games at the Gator Den.

Ware County High School enforces a clear bag policy at all athletic events. Only approved clear bags will be permitted for entry.
