The Ware County Gators Swim Team traveled to Valdosta on Saturday, December 13, 2025, to compete in the Valdosta Wildcat Invitational, facing a large and competitive field that included programs from across South Georgia. The meet provided valuable experience for the Gators as they continued to build depth and momentum during the season.

On the boys’ side, Matthew Davis turned in one of the top performances of the day for Ware County. Davis placed third in the Men’s 100 Yard Backstroke, posting a strong finals time of 1:05.51 and earning six team points against a deep field of competitors. Davis also contributed in sprint events, competing in the 50 Yard Freestyle, where he recorded a finals time of 25.46.

The Ware County girls saw steady progress throughout the meet, highlighted by multiple individual swims and relay efforts. In the Women’s 50 Yard Freestyle, Bailey Wyatt, Chloe Wyatt, Morgen Coffie, and Karmyn Jones all competed, gaining valuable meet experience against some of the region’s top swimmers. The same group also took part in longer freestyle events later in the meet, continuing to show improvement as the day progressed.

In relay action, the Ware County Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Bailey Wyatt, Morgen Coffie, Karmyn Jones, and Ava Bennett finished with a time of 2:32.85, closing out the meet with a solid team effort. The relay performance capped a long and competitive day in the pool for the Gators.

Overall, the Valdosta Wildcat Invitational provided the Ware County Swim Team an opportunity to compete against strong programs, gain race experience, and continue developing across all events.
