The Ware County Wrestling Gators hit the road Wednesday evening, traveling to Appling County High School for a set of duals against Telfair County and Appling County. The Gators wasted no time asserting control, delivering commanding performances across the board.
Ware County opened the night with a 70 - 6 victory over the Telfair County Trojans, followed by another dominant showing in a 68 - 11 win over the Appling County Pirates. Despite giving up a weight class at 144, the Gators maintained complete control in both duals with disciplined technique, aggressive scoring, and strong team depth.

The Gators also saw action from their Varsity Girls lineup, and both athletes made the most of their opportunities.

Kyler Matthews went the distance - three full periods and three overtime rounds—before earning a decision win in Ultimate Tiebreaker. His opponent committed a technical violation for locking hands, sealing a hard-earned victory for the Gators.
