Streeter and Martinez Recognized as Wrestlers of the Night; Team Prepares for Yellow Jacket Duals
The Ware County Wrestling program delivered a decisive performance on Tuesday evening, earning a 69 -12 victory over the Appling County Pirates in the Gator Den. The meet showcased the depth and discipline of the program as athletes across the Junior Varsity, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys divisions contributed to the dominant team outcome.
Two standout performers - Audrina Streeter and Cristian Martinez—were named Wrestlers of the Night. Both athletes displayed exceptional resolve by competing one weight class above their usual division and securing victories by pinfall in their respective varsity matches.
Junior Varsity Results
The Junior Varsity squad opened the evening with strong showings:
Collin Deal (9th) earned a controlled 5 -1 decision.
Kayden Drury (11th) recorded two pinfalls to secure his bout.
Varsity Girls Results
The Lady Gators continued to demonstrate their competitive strength:
Audrina Streeter moved up to compete at Girls 120 and secured a second-period pin.
Emalee Hendrix also competed at Girls 120 and earned a first-period pin, further contributing to the team’s momentum.
