11/24/2025 - 11/25/2025: WARE COUNTY WRESTLING SHINES AT COFFEE COUNTY’S TROJAN WAR
JV, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys Deliver Strong Performances Across Two-Day Event
The Ware County Gator Wrestling Team made the short trip to Douglas on Monday and Tuesday to compete in the annual Coffee County Trojan War, and the program delivered an outstanding showing across all levels. With dominant wins from the Junior Varsity, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys, the Gators continue to build momentum early in the season.
Junior Varsity: Undefeated Call-Out Performances Lead the Way
Monday afternoon belonged to the future of the program as the Gator JV wrestlers opened the Trojan War with multiple standout efforts.
Four Gators went undefeated in their Call-Out events:
Leve Moore - 4-0, all pins
Brody Griffin - Undefeated
Jadon Halladay - Undefeated
Collin Deal - Undefeated
Moore led the entire JV squad with a perfect 4–0 record, each win coming by pinfall, showcasing impressive dominance on the mat.
Other JV winners on the evening included:
Michael Collins, Chase Briggs, Ryan Tarver, Charlie Thrift, and Colton Miller, each contributing strong individual victories to cap off an excellent day for the developmental program.
Varsity Girls: Streeter and Miller Go Undefeated
The Varsity Girls took the mat Monday night and continued the winning trend, highlighted by two undefeated Gator standouts:
Audrina Streeter (Fr.) - 2-0 (1 pinfall, 1 major decision)
Hannah Miller (Sr.) - 4-0 (2 pinfalls, 1 tech fall, 1 major decision)
Streeter’s poised freshman debut and Miller’s veteran dominance set the tone for the Lady Gators throughout the event.
Additional winners for the Varsity Girls included:
Emalee Hendrix (Sr.) - Pinfall victory
Emmelee Haddock (Jr.) - Tech fall victory
No team score was taken for the girls division, but Ware County’s depth and talent were on full display.
Varsity Boys: Gators Hold Their Own Against Elite Competition
On Tuesday, the Varsity Boys stepped into one of the toughest lineups in Georgia, facing off with perennial powerhouses Camden County, Colquitt County, Valdosta, and Jefferson. The Gators responded with grit, skill, and several quality wins.
Leading the Varsity Boys:
Jordan Maxwell (Sr.) - 3-1 (two tech falls)
Gunter Fore (Jr.) - 2-1 (one pinfall, one tech fall)
Both wrestlers battled through high-level brackets and emerged with impressive results.
Several Gators finished the day at 2–2 with competitive performances:
Jaden Mckelvin (Sr.)
Jalen Hampton (Sr.)
Andy Ignacio (Jr.)
Ian Maxwell (Fr.)
Additional individual winners included:
Ashton Cox (Fr.), Michael Collins (Fr.), Collin Deal (Fr.), Noah Paul (So.), Leland Nettles (So.), Evan Thomas (Jr.), Aaron Bennet (Jr.), Cristian Martinez (Jr.), Rodrigo Reyes (Jr.), Jadon Halladay (Sr.), and Wesley Frye (Sr.)
As with the girls’ division, no official team score was recorded for the Varsity Boys.

The Ware County Wrestling Team returns to action Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in the Gator Den as they host Appling County and West Laurens in a home tri-match.
