The Lady Gators hit the road Monday night as they traveled to Jeff Davis High School for Day 2 of the Hugh McBride Memorial, facing off against a tough Toombs County squad. Ware County showed poise, energy, and dominance in the paint on their way to a convincing 58 - 40 victory.
From the opening tip, the Lady Gators controlled the pace and leaned on strong interior play to build early momentum. A’Treasue White delivered a monster performance, finishing the night with a double - double: 28 points and 18 rebounds. Her presence in the lane set the tone on both ends of the floor, providing second-chance opportunities and denying them to the Bulldogs.
Right behind her was Bre Hill, who turned in her best outing of the young season. Hill added 19 points and 9 rebounds, coming within a single board of a double - double of her own. Her consistency and shot-making helped Ware County pull away in the second half and maintain control down the stretch.
The win marks another strong showing for a Lady Gators team continuing to build confidence early in the season.
