The Ware County Lady Gators tipped off their 2025–2026 campaign in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Jeff Davis High School to take on Dodge County in the annual Hugh McBride Tipoff. When the final horn sounded, the Lady Gators walked off the court with a strong 59 - 41 season-opening victory, showcasing energy, defensive grit, and the kind of balanced scoring that sets the tone for a promising year ahead.
From the opening possession, Ware County dictated the tempo. The Lady Gators pressed the ball in transition, attacked the rim with confidence, and knocked down key shots to build early momentum.
