The Ware County Lady Gators Competition Cheer Team continued their outstanding season this past Saturday, November 8, at the GHSA Class AAAA Cheerleading Sectional held in Walnut Grove. Facing off against the best squads from across the state, the Lady Gators once again proved their dominance by capturing their second consecutive Region 1 - AAAA Championship and securing a spot in the upcoming GHSA AAAA State Championship.

Ware County claimed the Region 1 - AAAA title with an impressive score of 83 points, outpacing Perry (76), Warner Robins (60.5), and Wayne County (59.5). The victory marks another milestone for a program that has established itself as one of the most consistent contenders in Georgia high school cheer.

In sectional competition that featured elite teams from eight AAAA regions, the Lady Gators placed 12th overall - a strong showing that advances them to the final stage of the postseason: the GHSA AAAA State Championship, scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2025, at the Macon Coliseum.

The coaches praised the team’s focus and execution throughout the performance, noting their ability to stay sharp under pressure and deliver when it mattered most. “Our girls have worked incredibly hard all season, and this performance showed their resilience and competitive spirit.

The Lady Gators will now turn their attention to preparing for the State Championship in Macon, where they’ll compete against some of Georgia’s top AAAA programs, including Central Carroll, Cartersville, Cambridge, and North Oconee. Competition times will be announced later this week.
