10/24/2025:  Gators Fall in High-Scoring Thriller to Warner Robins, Look Ahead to Senior Night and Regular-Season Finale

The Ware County Gators went toe-to-toe with Warner Robins in a thrilling Region 1-AAAA showdown Friday night but came up just short, falling 48-44 in a back-and-forth battle that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Despite the loss, the Gators showed tremendous fight and resilience, trading scores throughout the night with one of the state’s most tradition-rich programs. The contest showcased the explosiveness of Ware County’s offense and the team’s ability to respond under pressure.

With the defeat, Ware County moves to 7-2 overall and 2-2 in Region 1-AAAA play.


Key Team Notes and Season Stats

  • QB Isaiah White (Jr.) has been efficient all season, completing nearly 67% of his passes and maintaining a 131.1 QB rating.

  • RB Tayshaun Franklin (Sr.) continues to be a steady force in the run game, averaging 95 rushing yards per contest and leading the team with 14 total touchdowns.

  • WR Jamario Rice (Sr.) remains the top receiving threat, averaging nearly 90 yards per game.

  • On defense, Seth Suess (Sr.) leads the team with an average of 5.8 tackles per game, anchoring a unit that has made key stops all season.

Even with the setback, the Gators continue to demonstrate balance and big-play potential on both sides of the ball as they prepare for their home finale.


Up Next: Senior Night vs. Wayne County

Ware County returns home to Memorial Stadium in Waycross on Friday, October 31, 2025, to face longtime rival Wayne County in the regular-season finale. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.

This game will also serve as Senior Night 2025, as Gator Nation comes together to honor the seniors from Football, Cheer, JROTC, and the Golden Gator Band. Senior Night festivities will begin promptly at 6:40 PM.
