The Ware County JV Gators wrapped up their 2025 football season on Thursday night with a hard-fought 14-8 road victory over Glynn Academy in Glynn County. The win capped off a perfect 7-0 season for the Gators, highlighting the program’s growing depth and strong player development.
Quarterback Ryder Gilbert led the way offensively, throwing two touchdown passes-one to Lavon Lawson and another to Deshavious Gibson - as the Gators built an early lead and maintained control throughout much of the game.
On the defensive side of the ball, Ware County delivered another impressive performance. The Gators’ defense stood tall in the closing minutes, stopping a late Glynn Academy drive to protect the narrow six-point advantage. The group’s disciplined tackling and well-timed plays helped secure the victory and preserve the team’s unbeaten record.
