9th Grade Gators Roll to 26-0 Victory on the Road

The 9th Grade Gators traveled to Tifton and came home with an impressive 26-0 win over the Blue Devils. The offense was powered by Jimmy Taylor, who ran for over 100 yards and found the end zone twice. Chase Cone also added a rushing touchdown to extend Ware County’s lead.

On defense, Jimmy Green was a standout, snagging two interceptions - returning one of them all the way for a touchdown. The defensive front was relentless, with Marquez Jenkins, Leve Moore, and Gary Dulin each recording sacks as Ware County shut down Tift County’s offense from start to finish.

JV Gators Stay Perfect, Shut Out Tift County 21-0

Back home in Memorial Stadium, the JV Gators put together a complete performance, defeating Tift County 21-0 to move to 6-0 on the season.

Quarterback Ryder Gilbert opened the scoring by connecting with Moo Moo McKoy for a touchdown pass, setting the tone early. McKoy later added a rushing touchdown of his own, while Deshavious Gibson powered into the end zone for another score. The Gators’ offensive rhythm was kept alive by clutch receptions from Brodie Burchett and Letarrian Hayes, helping sustain drives throughout the game.

The offensive line - Thomas Hill, Kobe Lee, Ethan Bruner, Clary Kinnon, and Jaylen Studivent, along with tight ends Lucas Howard and Chaden Carter - dominated the trenches, creating running lanes and keeping the pocket clean all night.

Defensively, the Gators were just as sharp. The unit consistently won at the line of scrimmage, swarming to the ball and never allowing Tift County to gain momentum. The defense’s focus and execution were key to preserving the shutout.

On special teams, Joel Cortez was perfect on the night, hitting all three extra points to complete the scoring.

With the 21-0 victory, the Ware County JV Gators remain undefeated at 6-0. They’ll take a week off before closing out the season on the road at Glynn Academy on October 23rd.
