The Ware County Lady Gators Volleyball teams were back in action Monday, October 6, 2025, as they traveled to Baxley to take on the Appling County Pirates and the Wayne County Yellow Jackets in Baxley, GA.
The Junior Varsity Gold team opened the night strong, defeating Appling County JV in the best two-out-of-three format. The Lady Gators showed great energy and teamwork, continuing their steady improvement as the season progresses.
In varsity action, Ware County fell to Appling County in straight sets before battling Wayne County in a tough three-set match. Wayne took the opening set, but the Lady Gators answered and claimed the second. In the decisive third set, the Yellow Jackets edged out Ware 15–8 to take the match.
Next up for the Lady Gators is another road trip today, Tuesday, October 7, as they travel to Tattnall County to face the Battle Creek Warriors. First serve is set for 5:00 PM.
Fans are reminded that tickets for all Ware County home events are $7.00, and NFHS Network streaming is available for select home and away contests. As always, parental supervision is required for all students attending athletic events, and the clear bag policy remains in effect at all venues.
