The Ware County Lady Gators Softball team celebrated Senior Night on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in the Swamp. Gator Nation recognized four outstanding seniors—Kallie Lairsey, Kayleigh LeMay, Amberlee Padgett, and Ashlyn Jacobs—for their hard work, dedication, and leadership throughout their careers with the Lady Gators.

On the field, Ware County came up short against Glynn Academy, falling 4-1. The Red Terrors struck first in the second inning, scoring on a defensive miscue, and added another run in the third on a single to center.

Senior pitcher Kayleigh LeMay threw a complete game for the Lady Gators, working seven innings while allowing four runs (three earned) and striking out three. Cassidy Lee had a strong night at the plate with two hits, while Addi Pittman drove in the lone Ware County run with an RBI single.

Glynn Academy finished with 11 hits and saw several players contribute offensively, including three different hitters who each knocked in a run.

The Lady Gators will look to regroup quickly as they remain at home to host Brantley County in their next matchup.
