The Ware County Lady Gators Volleyball program had a strong showing on the road Tuesday, August 26, as they traveled to Liberty County High School to face both Liberty and Beach High.
The JV Freshman team got the day started with a solid effort against Liberty’s JV squad. Ware took the opening set 25 - 18 and was leading 11 - 7 in the second set before the match was called due to time.
In Varsity action, Ware faced off first against Liberty in a best-of-three battle. Liberty edged out a close opening set 15 - 13, but the Lady Gators got dialed in, with set two, rallying for a 28 - 26 win. With the match tied, Ware sealed the victory by taking set three 15 - 12, completing the comeback.
The Lady Gators then squared off against Beach High and wasted no time establishing control. Ware dominated both sets, winning 25 -16 and 25 - 9, to secure a straight-set sweep and cap off a successful evening.
Big congratulations go out to Coach Gibson, her staff, and the Lady Gators for their hard work and impressive road victories.
