The Ware County Lady Gators Softball Team hit the road Wednesday, August 20, 2025, for a matchup with the Glynn Academy Red Terrors in Brunswick. The home team used a six-run second inning to pull away and hand the Lady Gators a 9-0 setback.
Glynn Academy opened the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single. The Red Terrors then strung together seven hits in the bottom of the second, producing six more runs to build a commanding lead.
Ware County sent out two pitchers in the contest. Starter Mattie Forsyth worked the opening frame, striking out one batter before giving way to Kayleigh LeMay, who provided three innings of relief. LeMay struck out two without issuing a walk and held the Red Terrors to three runs during her outing.
