The Ware County Cross Country teams competed at Wayne Co. on Thursday 9/28. The Boys varsity placed 10th out of the 18 team field and the Girls Varsity team placed 2nd out of the 16 team field. The Gators ran at 4:00 PM and there were e141 runners in the race. Running for the Gators were Jesus Oropeza (12th grade) placing 39th with a time of 19:33, Silas Mixon (9th grade) placing 43rd with a time of 19:45, Josh Smith (9th grade) placing 47th with a time of 19:50, DaMarion Zanders (10th grade) placing 64th with a time of 20:34, Wesley Frye (10th grade) placing 76th with a time of 21:18, Hayden Clement (11th grade) placing 96th with a time of 22:15:59, and Zy Ramsey (12th grade) placing 98th with a time of 22:15:76. The Girls varsity race ran at 4:30 PM and hosted 108 runners. Running for the Lady Gators were Keeli Holloway (12th grade) placing 1st with a time of 20:55, Samantha Savinon-Rios (12th grade) placing 4th with a time of 21:28, Whitney Moore (12th grade) placing 21st with a time of 24:35, Karla Calvillo (9th grade) placing 39th with a time of 25:43, Hannah Moore (12th grade) placing 46th with a time of 26:40, Olivia Sanders (11th grade) placing 47th with a time of 26:42, Denise Gutierrez (12th grade) placing 64th with a time of 27:47, and Zicoria Riggs (11th grade) placing 74th with a time of 28:46. The Gators will be travelling to Long County Next Thursday.
