What is Digital Citizenship?
Digital Citizenship is the ability to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in the digital world.
Ware County High School recognizes that today’s students live in “offline” and “online” communities. We are committed to teaching students how to act with civility, integrity, and compassion in both. Within the online community, we will strive to teach students to use technology responsibly, be positive contributors, communicate respectfully, uphold the law, and use safe practices.
In partnership with Common Sense Media, WCHS is implementing a curriculum for students in 9th and 11th grade. These students experience engaging lessons that help them understand the realities of the digital world; including the benefits of a well-managed digital life, as well as the possible consequences of reckless digital behavior.
