"Confetti" Kid uses Minecraft Game

During "Confetti" at Center Elementary School, Mrs. Frye's students have been learning about different themes and places in the world. The first week they discussed facts about the llamas  in the mountains of Peru.  Eli F. went home and read the book with his Mom, and he created llamas on his Minecraft game.
Last  week, they read the book "The World is not a Rectangle'' and studied about a lady from Iraq that was an architect. Despite her innovative nature inspired designs, no one wanted to use them. Mrs. Frye's class talked about how she persevered in her work until someone would build her buildings.  Again using creativity,  Eli F. went home and designed a four story building on Minecraft. His mom sent Mrs. Frye these pictures, and she is so proud of him. As stated by Mrs. Frye, "Sometimes a teacher cannot tell if a student is comprehending what you are teaching, but Eli has done a beautiful job in showing me  what he has learned and had fun with his new knowledge. It is this type of creativity that makes me enjoy working with children and love every minute I spend with them. Eli is truly a "Confetti" Kid at Center Elementary." Mr. Tyler A. Bennett is principal at Center Elementary where "Confetti"  Kids have been a part of a very fun learning environment this summer. #CenterReads
