Earlier this school year WXMS Assistant Principal, Mr. Washington in collaboration with WXMS Athletic Director Kevin Stevenson, applied for and was awarded the Good Sports Grant. This grant allows our school to receive athletic equipment for two years and provides our students with lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing new equipment, apparel and footwear. Our most recent equipment grant was donated on behalf of the Atlanta United Foundation and Good Sports. WXMS received over $13,000 in brand new soccer equipment to enhance and expand our soccer program and PE classes.
Waycross Middle School is excited to receive the donation of soccer equipment on behalf of Atlanta United. This donation will allow us to expand skill groups in PE, enhance our equipment for the boys and girls soccer teams, and allow equipment for our daily "Bulldawg Break." We are excited to provide this great opportunity for our students to encourage them to stay fit and have fun.
