First LEGO League Robotics Tournament is December 14th
The public is invited to attend the 3rd Annual Southeast Georgia First Lego League Robotics Tournament hosted by the Ware County School District STEM Department at the Waycross Middle School gym on Saturday, December 14th. 

Thirteen teams of ten students in 4th-8th grade will be competing from the following counties: Tift, Camden, Clinch, Pierce, Toombs (Vidalia City Schools), and Ware, including Ruskin Elementary, Memorial Drive Elementary, and Waycross Middle School. Each team will compete in four areas of competition worth 25% each toward the overall Tournament Champions Award. Categories include Core Values/Problem Solving, City Shaper Research Project Presentation, Mechanical Design Presentation, and four Robot Performance Rounds to in which teams will complete up to twelve missions for point values. Select teams will advance to the Regional Tournament being held at the Warner Robins Aviation Museum in January 2020. First Lego League Robotics is affiliated with the Georgia Tech Ciesmc division. 

Admission is free, and the concession stand (cash only will have breakfast and lunch items. Opening Ceremony begins at 9:00 AM with the first round of competition kicking off at 9:30 AM. The awards  ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM.
