Waycross Middle School is located in the heart of the city of Waycross on fifty-five acres. The school is comprised of five permanent structures, five tennis courts, a track, a football field, a baseball field, and a greenhouse.

     Feeder schools to Waycross Middle are Williams Heights Elementary, Center Elementary, and Memorial Drive Elementary. Waycross Middle has an enrollment of 602 students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Advanced content classes are offered in all academic subjects at all grade levels.

     Using the middle school concept, Waycross Middle works to provide opportunities to assist students in transitioning from elementary middle school to middle school and from middle school to high school. The core academic classes are Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading. Connection classes include Band, Chorus, Fine Arts, Family and Consumer Sciences, Health, Physical Education, Careers/Computers, Weight Lifting, and Technology.
