In
fourth grade, students are challenged with a
variety of new performance standards.
One thing that covers both reading and
language skills is WRITING! Our fourth
grade students use appropriate structures to
ensure coherence (transition elements).
The students produce writings that establish
an appropriate organizational structure,
sets a context and engages the reader,
maintains a coherent focus throughout, and
signals a satisfying closure.
In
math, the students are not only solving
increasingly more difficult multiplication
and division problems, they are also
measuring and weighing in metric and
standard units.
