Students Enjoy Electricity
Presentation by Georgia
Power
On Thursday,
September 13, fifth graders from Mrs. Perritt’s, Mrs.
Clark-Wooten’s, and Mrs. Rozier’s fifth grade classes at Center
Elementary were visited by Crystal Godfrey from Georgia Power. Ms.
Godfrey presented a lesson to the students on electricity. Students
learned about open and closed circuits, electric current,
insulators, and conductors. The students participated in many
hands on experiments provided by Georgia Power. The
students tested insulators, conductors and constructed a simple
electric circuit using a battery, wire, and a light bulb.
