Memorial Drive fifth grade students were honored on May 10th at
an End-of-the-Year Luncheon. Parents and family members were invited
to join students for a festive meal and celebration in honor of all
the hard work they have completed this school term. Staff members at
Memorial Drive decorated the lunchroom beautifully with a ‘Class of
2012’ theme that was enjoyed by students and visitors. Fifth grade
students were allowed to choose their menu for the luncheon which
consisted of fried chicken, whole kernel corn, rolls, mashed
potatoes, cake, and sweet tea. Fifth grade teachers are Mrs. Rene’
Crews, Mr. Nick Hayes, and Mrs. Gina Howell. Dr. Maurie DeVane is
the principal at Memorial Drive.
