Members of Ware County High School’s Anchor Club, sponsored by Mary Alice Aldridge, recently visited third grade students at Waresboro Elementary. The Anchor Club teamed up with Okefenokee’s Pilot International Club for the Dictionary Project which purchased a dictionary for every 3rd grade student at Waresboro. The high school students challenged the third grade students to quickly find words in their new dictionaries, and the winners received a treat. The students were excited to have their very own dictionaries and proudly wrote their names in the front of them. The Pilot and Anchor clubs promote education of brain injuries, protection of the brain, and empowerment through education. Susan Newman is the principal at Waresboro.
