Ware County Junior Miss 2004 Crowned

Teagan Thomas was named Ware County Junior Miss 2004 at a pageant held in
the auditorium of Ware County Middle School on Saturday, February 21, 2004. Other top winners included Shelby Dowling , 1st Runner-up, Jennifer Fales, 2nd Runner-up, and Mandi Hamilton, 3rd Runner-up.
Twenty-five contestants participated in the event which began with the singing of the National Anthem by Mrs. Heather Hale of Surrency. Toni Hayes, a junior at Ware County High School, entertained the anxious crowd while the judges' scores were tallied.
For the third consecutive year, there was a tie for the tenth position in the Top Ten Finalists causing there to be eleven finalists. They were Shelby Dowling, 7th grade; Porchea Moore, 7th grade; Teagan Thomas, 7th grade; Chelsea Hardy, 8th grade; Jennifer Fales, 7th grade; Mandi Hamilton, 8th grade; Briana Merritt, 8th grade; Briana Eunice, 8th grade; Korre Sowell, 6th grade; Ashley Fullard, 6th grade; and Sakena Montgomery, 8th grade.
The honor of Miss Congeniality, selected by the contestants themselves, went to 8th grader Sakena Montgomery. Most Photogenic, selected by the photographers, was awarded to 6th grader Kara Cecil.
Crowning the new queen was Brooke Boyd 2003 Ware County Junior Miss.
The Ware County Middle School Yearbook Staff sponsored the pageant
which was directed by Stormy Mayfield, advisor.
