The Ware County Board of Education’s Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all properties owned by the Ware County Board of Education.  The maintenance staff is responsible for providing a safe and pleasant school setting in which students, faculty, and staff can learn and work.

Strict adherence to regulations of the State Fire Marshal,  the Ware County Health Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, and other agencies helps ensure that the Ware County Board of Education school system will meet standards as defined by the Georgia Department of Education.

A highly skilled and well-trained Maintenance Staff helps to defray the cost on many of the School Boards new projects.  Using the talents of the department’s employees, the Maintenance Department has been able to provide services to ensure that funds will be available to complete many of the School Boards new renovation, and building projects.

The Ware County Board of Education’s Maintenance Department has assisted in various ways with the following projects:

The Maintenance Department has assisted the different schools this year by responding to over 3700 request for repairs on their school facilities.  An updated communication system has enabled the Maintenance Department personnel to respond to request in a more timely manner.  Two-way communication carried by each Maintenance employee has greatly assisted us in responding to requests.

The Maintenance Department is responsible for receiving all of the items each school uses for its custodial needs.  It is our responsibility to deliver to each school on a weekly basis the supplies the school needs for its custodians to keep the schools clean.  We currently keep over 110 different items that the schools custodians can request.
