Memorial Drive Elementary Supports Shoes That Fit Program

Memorial Drive Elementary recently partnered with our local Rack Room Shoes to help provide shoes to children in need through the Shoes That Fit Program.

Memorial Drive's School Counselor, Mrs. Tiffany Warren, coordinated the effort by completing the partnership application and communicating with the corporate office in North Carolina. Since Memorial Drive Elementary is a Title 1 school and is within 20 miles of a Rack Room Shoes, the school was chosen for their program. As a result, Rack Room Shoes raised funds for the school during the Back-to-School shopping season; 100% of proceeds went directly to the Shoes That Fit program.

Shown receiving the sponsorship card of $1,890.91 is Waycross Rack Room Shoes Manager, Maria Der, and Memorial Drive School Counselor, Tiffany Warren. Mrs. Warren commented, "We feel so blessed to have this opportunity and support of Rack Room Shoes. What a wonderful gift to our sweet students, especially at Christmastime!" Dr. Wendy Good is the principal of Memorial Drive Elementary.
