Williams Heights' Parent Curriculum Night a Huge Success!

October 4th was a big night at Williams Heights Elementary! The school hosted a family Book Fair in the afternoon, the 5th grade Washington Field Trip meeting, and a Meet, Greet, and Eat Parent Curriculum Night.

Over 200 parents, community leaders, students, and teachers attended the grade level meeting in their child’s homeroom class, where they were provided resources and training outlining ways they could support their child at home  After that, families converged in the cafeteria for a boxed meal provided by Popeye’s and a brief PTO meeting.

Williams Heights would like to thank Hemi Dhar and his staff at Popeye’s Waycross for supporting the school by donating the wonderful boxed meals! Families enjoyed fried chicken, mashed potatoes, red beans and rice, and biscuits while learning ways they could be involved in school. We are so thankful for our community partnership with Popeye’s.
