Ware County Middle School students and Art Teacher Amanda Dial are proud to partner with the Okefenokee Heritage Center to promote visual fine arts in the community. This honor was granted to WCMS because of the high quality and beautiful artwork students from the school have shown during past annual Spring Youth Art Exhibits sponsored by the Okefenokee Heritage Center.
The project centers on selecting 12 outstanding student art works for exhibiting at the Mayo Clinic. The health benefits of viewing art, as well enhancement of an environment with aesthetic beauty, have been well researched and documented. The art display was installed in September and is located in the waiting area on the first floor as you enter the main entrance of the Mayo Clinic.
Ware County Middle's principal is Dr. Darlene Tanner.
Students whose artwork was selected were (back row left to right): Danielle, Hannah, DeNasia, Joy, Daly, Catherine, Taylor; (front row left to right): Harold, Parker, Timothy, and Anthony
