Ware County Middle School FFA Forestry Team has Successful Season

The Ware County Middle FFA Forestry Team team competed in several competitions this spring including the Satilla Forestry Field at Laura S. Walker State Park, the Okefenokee Forestry Field Day at Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, and the Appling County Forestry Field Day. Forestry field days are competitions designed to get students excited about careers in forestry and natural resource management. Through these events, students learn many skills related to forest management and timber and land measurement. The team is looking forward to competing in the area competition on April 12 in Broadhurst, Georgia.
