Patrick Simmons, supervisor of the Georgia Department of Labor's Waycross Office, visited with students at the Ware County Learning Center. He talked about businesses who are currently hiring and offered to assist students who might be seeking jobs at the present time. He also shared with students many things that will help them when they apply and interview for jobs.
Simmons suggested that when applying for a job, the students should research the company. Additionally, he stated that the students should present themselves in a manner that is indicative of how employees who are currently employed with that company would dress. Finally, he shared some ideas that would help students to be better prepared if they were called in for an interview. The students thanked Mr. Simmons for his time, and many asked questions at the end of the presentation.
