Five Ware County Schools Earn 5-Star Climate Rating

The Ware County School System is proud to announce that 5 schools have received 5-Star Climate Ratings by the Georgia Department of Education. Schools earning this distinction include Center Elementary, Memorial Drive Elementary, Wacona Elementary, Waresboro Elementary, and Ware County Middle School.

Each school in Georgia receives a star rating of 1 through 5, with five stars representing an excellent school climate and one star representing a school climate most in need of improvement. These ratings are based on surveys measuring student, teacher, and parent perceptions of a school’s climate, student discipline measurements, safe and substance-free learning environments, the average daily attendance of teachers, administrators, staff members, and the percentage of students with fewer than six unexcused absences. The Ware County School System thanks parents, students, and teachers for their support in making these schools FIVE STAR SCHOOLS!

Mr. Tyler Bennett is the principal at Center Elementary. Dr. Wendy Good is principal at Memorial Drive Elementary, and Mr. John Chancey is the principal at Wacona Elementary. Dr. Jenny Barnes is the principal at Waresboro Elementary, and Dr. Darlene Tanner is the principal at Ware County Middle School.
