Siblings Battle it Out in Waresboro Elementary's Spelling Bee

Waresboro Elementary recently held their school level Spelling Bee. Participants include fourth graders Stanley B., Gavin B., Isaiah C., Destiny F., Mariana G., Shyanne L., and Jayden S. Fifth grade participants include Rasheem B., Carlos H., Naima H., Drake M., Zach R., and Kayden S.

The fierce competition came down to siblings Naima H. and Carlos H. After many rounds going back and forth between the two, Naima came out on top with Carlos finishing as the runner-up. Naima will represent Waresboro at the System Spelling Bee on January 20, 2017 at the Ware County Board of
Education.

Waresboro Elementary also conducts a 3rd grade Spelling Bee in order to prepare students for the school Spelling Bee for the next year. Third grade participants include Sophie C., Asher D., Mckenna H., Brice H., Isaiah J., Korizta M., Ryleigh S., and Jakayla W. The 3rd Grade Spelling Bee Winner is Korizta M.

Waresboro Elementary would like thank Mrs. Patricia Hereford and Mrs. Teresa Ganas for their help in conducting the Spelling Bee. Mrs. Hereford served as the announcer, and Mrs. Ganas was a judge alongside Media Specialist Candace Smith.
