Memorial Drive Students "Stuff the Turkey"

Students at Memorial Drive Elementary worked hard to assist the Salvation Army in a canned food drive to help with local needy families. For the two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, students were able to "Stuff the Turkey" by bringing in canned goods and non-perishable items. The winning homeroom, Mrs. Barnard's class, will be treated to a pizza party for bringing in over 140 cans. Memorial Drive donated over 550 canned food items total.

"The students were so eager to give this holiday season and I loved to see how excited they were to help others, which is what it is really all about", stated coordinator and school counselor, Mrs. Tiffany Warren. Dr. Good is the principal at Memorial Drive Elementary School.
