School News & Announcements

All Students to Return to School Friday, December 7th

All Students Return Dec. 7

Five roads in the Ware County School District remain impassable at this time:

12-Mile Post Road

Virginia Avenue

Brad Street

Rhoda Street

Hunter Street

Families of students who live on these roads will be contacted on an individual basis to arrange alternative transportation or pickup locations so that all students may return to school on Friday, December 7th.

We are grateful to the Ware County Road Department for their efforts in getting the roads back into navigable shape. It took many hours of hard work and dedication to whittle the original list of impassable roads down to five in just three short days. We also thank our fabulous Ware County Schools Transportation Department for the many hours spent riding the roads to ensure our students and staff members would be safe on their bus routes. They have gone far above and beyond the call of their normal day-to-day responsibilities. Safety remains our top priority. We look forward to welcoming all students back to school on Friday, December 7, 2018.
