Waycross Bank and Trust Makes Generous Donation of Safety Goggles to K-8 Ware Schools

The Ware County School System wishes to thank local bank president Russell Bates and his team at Waycross Bank and Trust for their generous donation of two class sets of safety goggles (that is, 60 pairs of goggles) for each elementary and middle school in the school system. The goggles are the perfect addition to the schools' MakerSpace and Science labs, as well as a necessary component of the schools' STEM instructional focus. Community support is a vital part of the success of Ware County Schools, and we are grateful for the partnership with Waycross Bank and Trust.

Memorial Drive Principal Dr. Wendy Good was thrilled to receive the goggles and took a moment to celebrate with 3rd - 5th students Jakel D., Mattie F., Jetzibe L. Jacob M., 4th and 5th grade Gifted and Science teachers Papani Saini, Elizabeth Grantham, and Lori Minchew, and Waycross Bank and Trust representatives Linda James, who works with customer service, and Will Harvey, who serves as a loan officer.
