Ware County Schools Personnel Learn to Stop the Bleed

Select Ware County Schools employees recently received emergency response training entitled Stop the Bleed. The purpose of the program, created by the US Department of Homeland Security in conjunction with FEMA and various other agencies, is to train bystanders in life-saving techniques, such as how to properly use a tourniquet, use a hemostatic agent such as QuikClot, or even apply a chest seal. Ware County Schools Nurse Coordinator Lynn Rivers coordinated the training event at the school and central office level.
